International Event ‘Bleriot Cross Channel Flight Centenary Celebration’ Dover

A truly internationally flavoured event where CBH wined and dined guests from four corners of the globe celebrating a momentous occasion in the spectacular grounds of Dover Castle.

Catering included a marquee for Shell Aviation as main sponsors who enjoyed a Buffet Lunch in a luxurious marquee for 400 people whilst the sound of vintage aircraft whizzed overhead on a glorious summer’s day.

The Check In

Mezze of sliced cold Italian meats of Parma ham, salami, mortadella accompanied by mozzarella bocconcinni, char grilled peppers, roast artichokes, courgettes, balsamic onions and sun blush tomatoes.

The Take Off

Butterfly leg of lamb in Eastern spices with Tabouleh

Hand carved honey roast gammon

Poached fillet of salmon with saffron mayonnaise

Char grilled chicken with fennel, peppers and pea shoots

Caesar salad with Quails eggs, marinated anchovies and croutons, Caesars dressing

Kent potato salad with soft herb mayonnaise

Celeriac and apple with celery and sour cream

CBH also catered for stars of the aviation world, government ministers, celebrities and local dignitaries at the Champagne Reception and Gala Dinner for 150 guests. Dinner included:

Chilled asparagus & citrus hollandaise with cured Scottish salmon

and a caper and celeriac remoulade

Celebrations went on late into the night with the climax being a spectacular firework display over Dover Harbour. In addition outside the castle grounds CBH provided a Champagne Reception for Dover District Council to celebrate the unveiling of the Bleriot Memorial and public catering at the Duke of York Royal Military School for 3000 members of the public.
